‘2001 to 2021’ – Seal-it-Systems celebrates 20 years in business

A lot has happened in the last year, never mind the last 20. Since starting SIS in 2001 in a small industrial unit then moving to what is best described as a ‘tin shed’ at the side of our cottage we have finally set up shop in a fantastic modern and brand new unit allowing us to expand, increase our work force and manufacture larger more automated machinery. We celebrated the 20 years with employees ‘old’ and ‘new’ and look forward to the future

2020 / 2021 YTD

October 2020 – Moved into our NEW unit with everyone pulling together and being back in production

Introduced a NEW range of linear tub sealing and bucket lidding machines working closely with an existing customer who required increase output for the hygiene and cleaning products

Secured orders for 3 SIS Rotary filling and sealing machine. These projects included a machine for filling/sealing twin pot shot drinks, Burger sauce & Mayo for Mahmoods chain of restaurants and a glass jar line for a Scottish yogurt producer

We continue to support many new start-up projects with our MK1 hand sealer range as well as much larger companies who require a simple cost effective method of sealing pots for R&D or product samples

Diagnostics and Life Sciences sector has kept the Team at Seal-it-Systems extremely busy in terms of designing NEW models of our MK3 machine for customers in Ireland, Italy and the USA. These sectors are fast moving and require projects to be turned around in weeks not months. We understand the customers requirement and work very closely with all aspects from concept though to finished ‘sealed’ components. This is a sector that we will be more involved with going forward and our intention is to further development our range of medical device sealing technologies

Brexit & COVID have both been challenging but in some cases actually generated sales for Seal-it-Systems with customers deciding to bring production back to the UK and therefore setting up sealing units, etc. We have also had customer who’s machines from places such as China and Israel could not be supplied and even a lead time provided so we stepped in at short notice and provided machines to allow them to start production or launch new products. Hopefully more manufacturing will return home and we will be there to supply the equipment.
